Reggae Rocks the Ocean Mist

Cars parked along Matunuck Beach Road may have been shrouded in frost Saturday night, but the weather inside the Ocean Mist was tropical with Reggae music heating up the atmosphere all night long.
Not to be deterred by winter's presence, Providence alternative reggae band the Rudeness was first to the stage. An unparagoned blend of hardcore and reggae, The Rudeness seemlessly blends punk rock lyrics with an island beat. With a set as sundry as jambalya, the boys humored the crowd with songs drawn from daily trial and tribulation such as "Not Too Cool," a shout out to social media mongers, while transitioning smoothly to beach chilling mode with "Spinning Wheels" and "Walk Alone with You."
The Agents, an Ocean Mist favorite, brought the crowd to the dance floor with horns blaring to the traditional reggae beat. With shout outs to the house, calls for requests from the crowd, and a nod to The Agents of the past, frontman Jason Dalomba entertained and employed both crowd and band in the act.
Planking tremoring in customary house-party fashion, The Agents turned out band singles such as "Superhero" and "Everynight," and provided a glimpse of future releases in "Hope."
